I'm sittin in a hotel room with some time to kill

I'm sittin here in the hotel in Summerville, SC (very close to Charleston). I've got an E-session tomorrow morning at the Angel Oak

and I can't wait to put the pics up, because I know they're all going to be show-stoppers!! Then we've got a wedding shortly after that.

I've got SO much catching up to do on this blog, that's for sure! I checked the last date and it's like the middle of last year!! My how things have changed!! But, I'll put up some pics from my most recent shoot. It was of an adorable little girl and her mom, and it was outside our mansion studio......yeah, I said mansion studio.....see, I told you a lot had changed!! :)
I've got to run and get some late-night pizza, so I'll hafta finish this later......but you can take a look at a TON of new stuff on my flickr page
I'm gonna try to make a video and put it on here for you to see what the Angel Oak looks like, and then what I can do with it. Hopefully it will give you some ideas for your next shoot :)

Oh, here's a self Portrait for that last post

I took this bad boy to demonstrate what I could do, as far as commercial/lifestyle photography, and how it could be used for advertising you, or your business. Everything shown here was done by me, including taking the photo! I never tell most people that I work on cars, mainly because I don't see that in my future. I eat, sleep, breathe photography, and this is just what I do for income......will it stay that way???? Hmmmm......you'll just have to wait and see ;)

Let's dust this thing off!

Ok, there probably won't be any pictures in this post. It's just to let you all know what's been going on lately.

First off, once upon a time, long, long ago....I read an article in MotorAge magazine about how they had done a study of some 2600 automotive technicians, and found that 97+% of them had Attention Deficit Disorder. Well, some of you may not know that I've been a technician for about 12 years now, and I really found this interesting, but kept it in the back of my head since then.

Well, just recently, we were at marriage counseling, and our counselor suggested that I read the book called "Driven to Distraction". It's a book entirely about ADD, and dealing with it, and if you think you might have it.....you need to run your little legs off to go and get it!!! It's the most amazing book I have ever read!!! I call it the Torres owner's manual, lol, and I think I should have been born with it!

Well, I have begun to implement some of the things he recommends in there, and it is really helping!!!

Anyway, if you didn't know that I was, or had been an automotive tech.....you will definitely not know that I am currently faced with the decision to leave the place I work.....due to an upcoming schedule change that won't allow me to pick up my kids from school. Which is the primary reason I chose to work night shift in the first place (along with having the weekend off to shoot weddings, etc.) Well, as the time draws near, I have to decide between finding another job, staying at this one and trying to make the schedule work......or.......just facing my fears and busting out on my own right now! That's a very scary decision!

I will keep you posted on the outcome, but I guess I'm just a tad excited to see what's around the next bend!
